Castor Bean plants will provide you with a fast-growing privacy screen. This non-food bean plant grows 10 ft. to 12 ft. tall and has gigantic leaves. The leaves, which may be green, red, bluish-gray, maroon, purple or variegated, are veined with scarlet and measure 3 ft. across. These plants love heat and moisture. Sow the seeds directly in the ground after last frost or start indoors 6-weeks to 8-weeks before the last frost.
- Castor bean plants are ornamental and meant for decorative purposes only, please be aware that the seeds are poisonous, and any seedpods that develop should be removed and discarded to avoid their ingestion by children or pets
