Goliath Spinach is hands down the best and biggest variety of spinach. Its thick, meaty leaves can grow as large as 6 in. x 8 in., yet they remain tender with a sweet, rich, non-bitter flavor. The leaves are also tasty at the baby size. Goliath is very slow to bolt and is a fabulous performer in both spring and fall gardens, so plant in both seasons to double your enjoyment of these nutritious greens. Plant the seed tapes 1/2 in. deep, in rows 12 in. apart, in light, rich, well-drained soil. The seeds germinate in 5 to 9 days and you can begin harvesting 40-days later.
